African Head Shaped Container 18″ – DR Congo – African Art

We are not exactly sure as to the origins of this figure but believe it to be from Sub Saharan Africa. The container was carved into the shape of a head, where the hat serves as the lid. It measures 18 inches tall and weighs 4.5 pounds. There is some minor water damage and regular cracking scuffing and wear and tear – please inspect photos.
