This statue was carved in the style of the Lega people of DRC. The statue has a beautiful dark color and cowrie shell eyes. It comes attached to a custom base for easy display. It measures 12 inches tall, 13.5 inches including the stand, and weighs 1.5 pounds. There is some cracking, scuffing and general wear and tear throughout. Please inspect photos.

About the Lega People
Lega art is exclusively focused on and associated with the Bwami society. Each object has a precise role and function within their ceremonies and rituals and is used only by the initiated. These artefacts are numerous and are created from a variety of materials, particularly wood, ivory, bone and elephant hide.
