This mask was carved in the style of the Dan people of Ivory Coast. The mask has typical Dan features with a broad forehead, round eyes and protruding lips. It has been heavily decorated with a metal overlay, cowrie shells and vegetable fiber in the hair. It measures 14 inches tall and weighs 2 pounds. There are minor imperfections including scrapes and scuffs – please inspect photos. Stand not included.
