This mask was carved in the style of the Lega people of DRC. The mask features a beautiful two-toned face with carved circular designs. It measures 9 inches tall, 22 inches including the raffia and weighs 1 pound. It is in good condition with minor imperfections – please inspect photos. Stand not included.

About the Lega People
Lega art is exclusively focused on and associated with the Bwami society. Each object has a precise role and function within their ceremonies and rituals and is used only by the initiated. These artefacts are numerous and are created from a variety of materials, particularly wood, ivory, bone and elephant hide.
