This mask was carved in the style of the Lega people of DRC. The mask comes with a custom stand for easy display. It measures 12 inches tall, 17.5 inches including stand, stand and weighs 0.5 pounds. There is some damage to the back rim of the mask and wear and tear throughout – please inspect photos.

About the Lega People
Lega art is exclusively focused on and associated with the Bwami society. Each object has a precise role and function within their ceremonies and rituals and is used only by the initiated. These artefacts are numerous and are created from a variety of materials, particularly wood, ivory, bone and elephant hide.
