We are not exactly sure as to the origins of this mask but believe it to be Sub-Saharan African. The back portion of the mask is covered in fabric and decorated with cowrie shells while the front portion has two bound figures coming out the top of the mask’s head. It measures 30 inches tall and weighs 7 pounds. There is some chipping on the ear and water stains on the fabric along with wear and tear throughout – please inspect photos.
