We are unsure as to the origins of this piece but believe it to be Sub Saharan African. The statue depicts a figure with a metal object on his head and a chain coming from his mouth and nose area. He is wearing a tattered textile garment that covers his entire body. The base of the figure seems to be a post that would have been pounded into the ground. This piece comes attached to a custom base for easy display. There is some cracking, chipping and wear and tear throughout – please inspect photos.
